Triennial Tall Ship Event : An event bridging maritime history and multi-culturalism;
featuring
international tall ships and sail training vessels, children's activities, and
multi-cultural music
and dance.
Hosting Visiting Tall Ships and Navy Training Ships : Welcome, host and support
ships while
visiting the port of San Francisco, as well as all others. Working with
maritime agencies and
volunteers to secure gratis services. discounts and to provide signage, ship liaisons, public
relations, protocol support, and more.
Maritime Career Festival : This annual festival is designed to inspire youth involvement in
maritime careers and environmental stewardship. It is a hands-on event incorporating a wide
spectrum of maritime professionals, as well as tours of working vessels.
Kids on the Bay! : Ongoing education program tailored to underserved Bay Area youth. Programs
focus on visiting ships, and take one of two directions. For visiting national ships, students go on
three-hour sail-training cruises. Visiting foreign ships give kids hour-long hands-on tours. Both
experience incorporate lessons about maritime sciences, nautical history, and cultural exchange.
